his left ankle which bled profusely.

He made his way along the scavenging lane and

across Poplar Ɛtreet to Cedar F'trest, and then turned

along the pavement of Cedar Street, but after a short

distance, possibly because he realised that his blood-

stains were too visible, he turned in his tracks and

continued along the scavenging lane to a point a few feet

from Prince Edward load. There he was found by a police

officer, fergeant Davies, who noticed that he was bleed❤

ing profusely. Accused told him that there had been

fire, but refused further information, so he was taken to

Lai Chi Kok Road where the alarm had been given and the

bodies discovered.

At the Police Station Forgeant Davies left the

accused outside under guard while he went in to report

the double murder. The accused was then heard to utter

a curious prayer which amounted to a full confession of

guilt. A copy of this prayer is attached nereto.

After his discharge from hospital accused made

a long voluntary statement, a copy of which I attach.

he had found his wife in her lover's arms and in hie sudden

horror and disgust killed them both.
